Howard Manning, age 68, has had a 43-plus year career in commercial, mortgage and private banking as well as financial and business consulting.  Mr. Manning currently resides in Dallas, Texas.

Mr. Manning’s educational background includes a BSBA in Economics and a minor in Finance from Creighton University; May 1972, and an MBA in Finance from the University of Missouri; degree confirmed July, 1978.

Mr. Manning began his banking career as a Federal Bank Examiner for the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. Subsequently, Mr. Manning was employed by National Commercial Money Center Banks such as Citicorp, New York, and banks that became Bank of America, as well as Super Regional Commercial Banking Organizations. Mr. Manning was involved in ever increasing responsibilities for managing commercial banking, mortgage banking, and private banking divisions.  Mr. Manning also held senior management positions in Product Development and Cash and Treasury Management for a leading Midwest U.S. Cash Management Bank.

From 1998 until 2005, Mr. Manning was the Founder, Organizing Principal and initial President and Chief Executive Officer for a community based de novo bank – Parkway Bank, NA, in Plano, Texas.  In 2005, Mr. Manning and his partners sold out their interests in Parkway Bank.


In May 2007, Mr. Manning was an originating investor in First Private Bank of Texas, a de novo niche banking organization based in Dallas, Texas. Mr. Manning was a passive investor in First Private Bank until 2013 when he joined the bank as the North Texas Region Manager.  Mr. Manning continued his senior management relationship until February 2015 after First Private Bank sold to IBERIABANK, Louisiana.


Beginning in 2005, Mr. Manning affiliated with Erwin, Graves and Jones, LLP (then Erwin Graves and Associates, LLP) and was engaged as a consultant to the TelecomPioneers,, the North America’s largest volunteer organization, developing a suite of affinity financial services available to individual Telephone Company Pioneers as well as the TelecomPioneers Chapters, Clubs and Councils.


Mr. Manning remains as a Managing General Partner of Erwin, Graves & Associates, LP and specializes in providing consulting and debt resolution services for troubled commercial banks and commercial bank borrowers.  Mr. Manning represents both lenders and borrowers in “win-win” debt settlement negotiations and payment resolutions.

With Erwin Graves & Associates, Mr. Manning is an Investor and former Director and Financial Officer of Medaxion, Inc.,  a medical technology startup business based in Nashville Tennessee.

Mr. Manning is an Advisory Board Member for CrossFirst Bank, Dallas, Texas ( a $3.5 billion privately held commercial bank.


Mr. Manning is married to his wife Mary of 45 years and has three grown children and four grandchildren.
